Australia’s newest ship Ovation of the Seas will call Australia home for an even longer season over the 2017/2018 summer, Royal Caribbean has declared.

The ship which will launch locally this coming December will sail an additional six voyages to the South Pacific, New Zealand and Tasmania. Upon completion of her second Australian season Ovation of the Seas will set sail to Singapore on a 14 night Sydney to Singapore relocation voyage.

As the fourth largest cruise ship in the world, Ovation of the Seas will be the largest vessel to ever sail in local waters, with a capacity of 6,400 passengers and crew. With such a large number of passengers onboard, choice is imperative, according to Royal Caribbean. “With that size comes more choice, space, variety and options. Choose to do it all, or nothing at all – this is what makes a ship like Ovation of the Seas so exciting,” concluded Adam Armstrong Royal Caribbean’s Australian managing director.

The ship, dubbed the most technologically advanced ever, relies heavily on new systems to provide guests with the most modern cruise experience ever, the fastest internet at sea and the Royal IQ app to plan your experience onboard.

Hype has surrounded Ovation of the Seas since its Australian deployment was first announced. Royal Caribbean has extended the vessels debut season by a month to accommodate local demand for the vessel.
