Savings of nearly $1,500 per person twin share are available for longer on selected Captain Cook Cruises Fiji sailings around the idyllic South Pacific island nation after the company extended the booking deadline until 31 March 2017, for travel through until 31 March 2018.
Under the extended deal, book the seven-night ‘Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands’ cruise, the seven-night ‘4 Cultures or Colonial Discovery Cruise’ and receive three nights for free. The deal also applies to the 11-night ‘Lau and Kadavu Discovery Cruise’ which ventures far into the Fijian archipelago, visiting islands completely inaccessible on shorter voyages.
Cruises start from $1,995 per person twin share for the seven-night cruises (inclusive of the discount – normal price is $3,140pp) and the 11-night cruise starts from $3,990 per person (normal price $5,485 per person).
Guests can take part in traditional sevusevu ceremonies, Meke and Lovo feasts, meet with tribal elders and play with school children who call the village their home. There are also plenty of opportunities to swim and snorkel in turquoise waters, dive among the coral reefs or view from above on Captain Cook Cruises Fiji’s glass bottom boat.
The cruise is also great for families, with a Kids Club available for those ages 5-9 and open in three sessions throughout the day (9am – noon, 2pm – 5pm and 6pm – 9pm).
While Fiji is well travelled with Australians, particularly the main island, there are still dozens of smaller and far more remote communities, villages, churches and schools on far-flung islands within Fiji. And it is these which are more than accessible on CCC Fiji’s regular longer voyages which run between seven and eleven nights.
The 130-passenger MV Reef Endeavour is small enough to access parts of Fiji the larger ships cannot reach and has also been recently refurbished. The longer itineraries are run on a very limited basis, with only a few departures each year.
